Wobblerbase Design: Gantry Lab
In this laboratory I had to create a base for a wobbler engine. The base had to follow certain specifications such as total volume of the block with the recessed areas, dimensions of the block, and a "platform" large enough to mount the engine to. Also, due to the fact that the blocks were going to be sand casted they needed to have a 5-10 degree draft on all features.
The base was designed and modeled in SolidWorks. I then converted the design into G-Code and ran a simulation of the block being cut in both the SolidWorks and Benchman software.
Due to time constraints the actual block was never cut during this course.
